The haunting brilliance of DART 4D56’s “Enjoy Your Stay”

In an era of cinema polluted with remakes and theatrical sequels, there is a rare, electric energy found in a local theatre where students are building a world entirely from scratch. At the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts, the student-led company of DART 4D56: Collaborative Play Development didn’t just put on a play; they constructed a living, breathing nightmare. Their original production Enjoy Your Stay is a masterclass in atmospheric horror that leaves the audience “checking out” with lingering chills and a profound respect for the scrappy brilliance of student-led creation.

My favourite 80s anthems: The ultimate dance party playlist

Let’s be honest, they just don’t make club music like the 80s anymore. Modern EDM has its perks, boasting drops that can shatter glass and sub-bass that rattles your teeth. But there was a unique, lightning-in-a-bottle alchemy to the 1980s dance floor. It was an era where the raw, unpolished energy of punk and new wave collided head-on with the cold, futuristic sheen of early synthesizers. Being “Canada Down” isn’t enough if the JUNOS want to remain relevant

This year’s JUNO Awards saw some of Canada’s best talent take the stage for Canadian music’s biggest night, but despite the fanfare and celebrities on the orange carpet, this year’s JUNO Awards felt somewhat unnecessary.

Why “Dune: Part Three” faces its hardest battle yet

The first trailer for Dune: Part Three arrived with enormous anticipation — and an uncomfortable reality. For the first time, Denis Villeneuve isn’t fighting skepticism or expectation, but the limits of the story he’s adapting.

The 98th Oscars remind Hollywood how to put on a show

Hollywood’s biggest night and the end of the 2025 awards season saw some much-deserved wins and a fair share of late-season hopefuls take the industry’s top prize, all while keeping the presentation short and entertaining — if not occasionally cringey.

Zara Larsson and the new blueprint for pop stardom

Zara Larsson isn’t staging a comeback — she’s becoming a popstar for the first time. At the core of her ascension has been a new pop persona crafted through online intimacy, nostalgic aesthetics and slow algorithmic momentum.
