Mikayla has been an editor at The Brock Press since fall of 2024. In her first year at the Press, she held the position of Editor-at-Large, writing across sections to discuss Parliamentary news, current political debates and album retrospectives. In her second year at the Press, she transitioned into the role of Managing Editor.
Outside of working at the Press, Mikayla is pursuing a Master's degree in English at Brock. She plans to research the impacts of social media discourse and online misogyny.
When she isn’t studying, Mikayla enjoys perpetually rewatching Twin Peaks, reading the novels of Clarice Lispector and following global politics.
